• Question Answer Do used wheels have good tires?

  Wheels ship with used tires. Generally speaking, the tires aren’t in usable condition and will need to be replaced.

• Question Answer Can you ship a wheel without the unused tire?

  Most tires can be pressed off of the wheel for a fee. The is done by an outside company and will add several days at a minimum to the ship time. Please contact our parts department at 877-475-5438 for details.

• Question Answer Are radiators tested?

  Used radiators are flushed and pressure tested in our facility.

• Question Answer Do used hydraulic parts have a warranty?

  Used hydraulic parts like, orbitrols, control valves, and cylinders are not guranteed agaist leaking. These are sold as a core and are intended to be resealed.

• Question Answer What if I receive a bad part?

  We inspect every part before it ships however, if you receive that part and it isn’t functional, contact us as soon as you are aware of an issue. If you are within the warranty period, we will review your claim and arrange a replacement or return for credit in the event a replacement isn't available.

  All parts, unless indicated otherwise, are guaranteed. Cores are guaranteed to be rebuildable. Warranty excludes wear items such as bearings, rollers, brushes, seals and similar components.

  Reconditioned, rebuilt, and reman parts are guaranteed to be fully functional for the period indicate on your quote.

  Our warranty does not cover parts that have been abused, neglected, or misused. Additionally labor costs are never eligible for refund, reimbursement, or credit.

• Question Answer What if I ordered the wrong part or the part didn't fix my issue?

  You are welcome to return the part however please be aware that there will be a 15-30% restocking fee and you will be responsible for the cost of shipping on the original shipment as well as the return freight. All returns must be assigned a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) prior to shipping the item to us.

• Question Answer What is a Core?

  The core is essentially the part that needs to be refurbished, rebuilt, and brought back to "like-new" condition. For example, if you purchase a remanufactured forklift transmission, the core is the old transmission you are replacing.

• Question Answer What is a Core Charge?

  A core charge is a deposit that is added to the cost of the remanufactured part. This charge is temporary and is refunded when you return the used core (your old part). The core charge incentivizes you to return the old part, which can then be remanufactured and reused, supporting the cycle of refurbishing parts.

  For example, if you buy a remanufactured transmission for $2,000 with a $500 core charge, you’ll pay $2,500 upfront. When you return the core (your old transmission), the $500 core charge is refunded if the part is in rebuildable condition.

• Question Answer What is a Core Return?

  A core return refers to the process of sending your old part (the core) back to the supplier or manufacturer to receive your core charge refund. To qualify for a refund, the core must typically be returned in a rebuildable condition, meaning it should not be damaged beyond repair.

  Most companies, including us, require the core to be returned within a specific time frame—often within 60 days of receiving your remanufactured part. Once the core is received and inspected, you’ll be refunded all or a portion of the core charge.

• Question Answer Do you rebuild hydraulic control valves?

  We do not offer rebuilt or reconditioned hydrailic control valves at this time.

• Question Answer What is the difference between Rebuilt, Reman, and Reconditioned?

  We use the terms Rebuilt and Remanufactured interchangably for mechanical parts such as transmissions, steer axle, drive axles, cylinders, and steer orbitrols. These parts are completely restored with all components inspected and tested, offering near-new quality.

  Reconditioned parts are non-mechanical parts that in most cases are a part of a larger assembly. Examples of reconditioned parts include axle shafts and tubes, brake drums, steer spindles, and beams.

• Question Answer What is a Forklift Mast?

  A forklift mast, also known as an upright, is the vertical assembly on the front of a forklift that raises, lowers, and supports the load. It plays a crucial role in the lifting capabilities of the forklift, allowing the forks or other attachments to move up and down, enabling the operator to lift and lower pallets, containers, or other heavy materials.

  The mast works by using hydraulic power to lift the load vertically. The operator controls the mast through levers in the cab, which activate the hydraulic system, allowing the carriage (and forks) to move up or down. The stability and design of the mast ensure that loads can be lifted and lowered safely and efficiently.

  Key Components of a Forklift Mast:

  Rails (Channels): These are the vertical steel beams that form the structure of the mast. They guide the movement of the carriage and forks.

  Carriage: The carriage is mounted on the mast and holds the forks or other attachments. It moves up and down along the rails when the mast operates.

  Hydraulic Cylinders: These mechanisms are responsible for raising and lowering the carriage. Lift chains are typically attached to hydraulic cylinders that provide the power to move the load vertically.

• Question Answer How much of my core charge will I get back?

  This depends on the condition of your core. Once receiived we will perform a full inspection to determine if the part is complete and if it is rebuildable. • Question Answer How long will it take to inspect my core return?

  Cores are generally inspected within 3-5 business days however it can take longer depending on the complexity of the core item. We make every effort to get the inspection completed and the fee refunded in a timely manner.

• Question Answer Is a transmission or engine core guarunteed to function?

  On occasion we do offer "Operational Cores" for certain parts but as a general rule transmission and engine cores will need to be rebuilt in order to function correctly.

• Question Answer Will you let me know if the "out of stock" part I need becomes available?

  If you request price a quote for an item that is not available, we will send you an email indicating that it is not in stock. If a part returns to stock within 90 days of your request, we will alert you via email that the part requested is now available. All parts are sold on a first come, first served basis. If multiple customers inquired on the same backordered part, they will all receive an email.

  Because we are recycling used forklifts it is not uncommon for only one item to be received.

• Question Answer Do you ship internationally?

  We currently only offer shipping to the US and Canada. If you are interested in a part and reside outside of the US and Canada contact us at 877-475-5438 (intl. 770-692-1451) or email us at sales@absoluteliftparts.com. In some cases we can accept orders from other locations.
